Congratulations to the City of Bangor! What a surprise to wake up and find my home town upgraded to City status. Just as I'm about to release my Ballyholme print too.
Striking A3 giclee fine art print of Ballyholme beach in Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland (not the other one over the water). Painted from photographs and sketches I made depicting a series of big rain storms passing over the landscape, one after the other recently. We get such big skies and deep reflections in the sea and on the sands here, lucky me. This is captured using vibrant blue patches, which peek through billowing clouds and complement the sand as the cloudy shadows pass over. Gestural oil pastel marks on the original painting communicate the famous Ballyholme residences and businesses encasing the esplanade.
All of my fine art prints come signed and titled, with a 2.5cm white border around the image (extra to the image size) to assist with framing.
Limited edition prints are also upgraded to Hahnemuhle photo rag paper, with a cotton content that gives the print such a special feel. The surface is one of the best in the business for capturing deep vibrant colours. They also come with a certificate of authenticity from the guild-membership print house over in Bristol, displaying the number and details of your investment.
