At 40cm square, plus tray frame, this abstract coastal piece is very special to me.

An abstract crop of sketches I captured as part of a visit back to my childhood home in the Scottish Borders, these shapes highlight carved and worn forms in a red sandstone slab, where the stream cuts its way through to the sea.

It brings to mind changes over time, noticeable now whenever I visit after 18 years away.

The warm rusty red, oranges, browns and ochres would suit both a bright light space, and a richly coloured cosy nook.
