35 x 26cm wood panel, plus black tray frame, painted in acrylic with wax pastel layered drawing.

One of two similar paintings, (see Coast Path Pebbles 1!), this artwork was actually inspired by another painting, which I felt that I wasn't done exploring yet (Rocks and Flowers).

Wanting to do more with the lilac and apricot colours that had featured in the previous painting, I decided to do a really free, abstract, playful decorative piece inspired by my abstract monoline sketches of the shapes that emerge when you really look down at a shale/pebble beach.

I really love this one.
