27 x 57cm plus frame.
An unusual artwork for me as it's not often I make a large drawing as a finished piece. A panoramic view in indian ink, with wax pastel colour pops, including our beloved red swings.
Featuring the view over Belfast Lough to County Antrim, this is possibly the most special place to me as a Mum. This is at the beach in Ballyholme, Bangor, where we have whiled away many afternoons making sandcastles, throwing stones in the sea and damming the river!
Now as we face the start of pre-school I already feel nostalgic for the 100% parent times, although they have seemed endless on some days. I know this will continue to be a special place as my son grows up, but this drawing, for me, captures the bubble of those early years.
