Return to Work - Summer Sale - Future Work

Well hello there!

It only seems like 5 minutes since I was hanging up the apron to go on maternity leave, but now I'm in to its home stretch and am planning what my business will look like as a working mum - a very exciting chapter.

Summer Sale!

To clear the way, I'm having a Summer Studio Sale.  If you're on my Instagram today you can vote which day it goes live in the stories, I'm thinking either this coming Weds or next Saturday.  Look out for further announcements...

There'll be an extra discount for subscribers!  So make sure you keep an eye on your inbox next week for a code to use in conjunction with the sale.

I'll probably also clear some surplus art supplies/frames/market stall furniture etc, I'm not sure whether I'll bother putting that all on the website but do keep an eye out for updates.

New Look, who dis?

I'll be working with the lovely Tierna Byrne to tweak my branding a wee bit, something I've been meaning to do for ages.  You'll still recognise me, I'd just like all my communication avenues to look a bit more consistent so hopefully you'll notice and think "hey, that looks slick".

I've also run out of postcards etc to put in with orders as I wanted to wait for my brand update.  If you know me, you can imagine how excited I am to be on the cusp of ordering a brand new set of stationery!

Future Work

I will be coming back to work in September, but my work might look a little different, or be available in a different way.  I'm not quite ready to put the wee man in to childcare, so I'm having a good hard look at what I can do from home or in flexible hours so that I can get stuck back in to it without compromising too much on family time.

This is something I'd love your input on so if you see me asking for suggestions/your preference of something, I genuinely really want to know so please take a moment to tell me.

I'll still be taking commissions as usual on landscape paintings, so don't hesitate to get in touch if you have something in mind.  You can read about the commission process/T&Cs here

I might explore a return to more printmaking and teaching evening/weekend classes, or online classes, or perhaps (and likely) a mixture of available work according to how I get on juggling studio and home time.  Carving print blocks, organising classes, drawing - these are all things that can be done from home, so I can work around naptimes/daddy's shifts etc without  having to commute to the studio every day.  And it will be a bit of a commute now, because...

House Move

...we're part way through moving to Bangor!  I'm keeping the studio in Lisbane though, at least for the foreseeable future until I've settled in to a routine of sorts over the coming months/year.

But you can probably expect a wee shift in inspiration - I hope you're as excited as me to see where it leads my new work!

Thanks for sticking with, don't be a stranger if you have any queries, or if you see me about the Bangor coast path area x
