Each is hand titled and signed, and packaged flat in protective cellophane and card backing.
I painted the original after a deceptively rough walk along Ballyholme esplanade in Bangor. The Antrim coast and horizon in the background were bathed in a warm, bright light, but at the shore the tide was in, the wind was up and spray had landed a clatter of pebbles along the walkway.
Using aluminium allowed me to make sharp, cool marks in layers of the paint and I have used expressive shapes to complement the material in telling the story.
Party of my body of work exploring home, change and routes within and between homes, this place is now one of our regular walks and a route in the new mental maps we're forming every day.
