Original acrylic on canvas board painting, this is a large bold artwork that capture a series of rainstorms passing over Ballyholme, in Bangor, Northern Ireland.
Size A1, which is 59 x 84cm, approx.
This piece has been meticulously blended in various layers, and embellished with oil pastels to highlight those bright spots and give form to the suggested buildings along the esplanade.
I am always drawn to landscapes where a bit of brightness has fought through the gloomy clouds, so this was the perfect scene to capture. Not pictured is my partner's mum and my son, paddling in the sea (sorry Joan!). We made it back to the car just in time... It's a special view to me.
Unframed, however I am always happy to consult about framing with you and can get a local quote. If purchasing to ship I recommend keeping it unframed, and working with your local framer. I am unable to ship glass.
